Translate Photo & Camera Scan (iOS) · Attribute Trading Co LTD · Last updated October 13, 2026

This policy explains what the Translate Photo & Camera Scan app ("the app") does with your information. "We" and "us" mean Attribute Trading Co LTD, the app's publisher.

1. Photos and the camera

The app reads text in your photos and camera images on your device, using Apple's Vision framework and Google ML Kit models that run on the phone. Your photos and camera images are not uploaded to us or to any AI service.

2. Text you translate (AI translation)

Online translation sends the text you scan or type, and the two languages you picked, to our translation server, which forwards it to OpenAI (an AI service) to translate. If OpenAI is unavailable, the text may be translated by Google Cloud Translation or Microsoft Translator instead.

The app asks for your permission before it sends any text for online translation. You can change your choice at any time in the app's Settings ("AI translation").
If you don't allow it, translation runs on your phone with Google ML Kit offline language files, and no text leaves your device.
Our server doesn't keep the text it forwards. OpenAI doesn't use data sent through its API to train its models; OpenAI, Google and Microsoft may keep requests for a limited time to prevent abuse, under their own policies: OpenAI, Google, Microsoft.
